Human Brain Project at EC-event “FET Flagships - Partnering for excellence”

On November 6, 2017, the European Commission in cooperation with the Estonian Presidency of the EU hosted "FET Flagships - Partnering for Excellence".
The event took stock of the value and importance of the Future and Emerging Technologies (FET) Flagships for Europe. It gathered representatives of the Flagships, from EU institutions, Member States, academia and industry in Brussels, Belgium.
The HBPs Scientific Director Prof. Katrin Amunts and Executive Director Chris Ebell represented the Project in the panels, alongside representatives of the Graphene Flagship and the upcoming Quantum Flagship.
The event also featured the European Commission Vice-President Andrus Ansip and Nobel laureate Konstantin Novoselov, who delivered a keynote speech on scientific excellence in Europe.
