HBP at Life Sciences Baltics 2018

The HBP will be represented in the exhibition area of Life Sciences Baltics 2018 on 26-27 September 2018 in Vilnius, Lithuania. Life Sciences Baltics 2018 is an international conference for experts in biotechnology, pharmaceutical and medical devices, the only one of its kind in the Baltics. The Forum will bring together more than 1500 participants – scientists, SMEs, industry, startups and students working in life sciences – to network, exchange knowledge, and discuss ideas across disciplines. More than 60 exhibitors, including the HBP, will present their work in an accompanying exhibition.
HBP exhibits will include samples of polarized light imaging on rodent, monkey and human brain sections and demonstrations of Deep Learning applications for the mapping of human brain areas. Representatives of the HBP innovation team will be on site to exchange with companies interested in collaboration with the HBP and the promotion of Project activities. In addition, information will be provided on training and collaboration opportunities and the new Infrastructure Voucher Programme.
Guillermo Velasco (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid) will give a presentation in the exhibition area titled “Human Brain Project: Uniting neuroscience and revolutionary computing strengths to understand what makes us human and tackle brain diseases" (Wednesday 26 September, 14:20-14:50).
