The BrainModes is an annual meeting which seeks to explore innovative means of understanding complex brain activity and multimodal neuroscience data sets. The objective is to foster informal discussion of brain modeling and multivariate data analysis (EEG, MEG, fMRI, etc). The central motif is that of “modes” – that is, understanding how complex brain activity is organized around low dimensional manifolds. Links to previous meetings can be found in brainmodes.org
This year, the conference will be hosted by the Cuban Neuroscience Center in Havana, and will consist in two days of scientific talks and discussions and one poster session at the end of the first day. The main topics will cover from development of theoretical methods for modeling and analysis of neuroscience data to research on application of these theoretical methods to the study of neurodegenerative diseases and/or other aging-related brain disorders.
