EBRAINS Infrastructure Training Event: Young researchers using EBRAINS for tomorrow's scientific challenges
EBRAINS is a European digital research infrastructure for neuroscience that allows scientists to investigate different aspects of the brain at various scales by means of a huge variety of intertwined tools. The tools allow the exploration of data, creation of brain models, simulation and emulation of brain behaviour and subsequent, multifarious analysis. Thereby emerging computational limitations are addressed by enabling access to high-performance computing or brain-inspired computing technologies. Considering the huge variety of tools and the broad scope they address, this workshop ‘fills two needs with one deed’. 'Newbies' will see what kinds of tools EBRAINS provides and how to use them in an interwoven, consistent fashion creating an EBRAINS workflow. Students who have used EBRAINS tools already will have the opportunity to present their work and describe their EBRAINS workflow. Last but not least, we would also like to invite all participants to contribute their EBRAINS workflows to a whitepaper, which we will write afterwards including the results and discussions obtained from the workshop and for which they will become co-authors.
